Here’s the complete complaint, sound familiar? Neal never bothered answering why the buyer was given one price and then charged a much higher price.
Initial Complaint

On July 13, 2024 I purchased a christmas ornament made from a gourd from a booth at an art fair outside of my hotel (Drury Plaza Inn, Santa Fe, NM). **** *******, the vendor, informed me that the gourd would be $48. I said I would buy it (for that price). He took my credit card, never gave me a receipt, and I didn’t sign for the purchase, and instead was charged $259.95! I attempted to dispute this amount with him by email. No reponse from **** *******. I would like to be refunded $200. and would appreciate any help the BBB of Santa Fe could provide. Thank you.
And Neal’s disjointed response that somehow makes the number “30” on the bottom turn out to be $240:

Hi, I have been having trouble submitting the document in response to the complaint and after talking to Ali, I am sending them directly to you by this means.
Our customer, ** ********, Was told that our Gourd ornaments cost from $40 and up. They have a number code on the bottom, for example, a number 30 would be 240+ sales tax. Cost for that item would be $259.92. Furthermore, our receipts state that all sales are final. Our ornaments are all handmade, and one of the kind. You cannot find them anywhere else. If the customer was looking for something for $48.
